What is Becker Education and Engagement Day (BEED)?
The Becker Education and Engagement Day (BEED) began in 2023 when a group of individuals living with Becker, advocacy groups, clinicians, and researchers in Becker came together to design an opportunity for those living with Becker to connect. The 2023 inaugural BEED event gathered 150 individuals across four locations in the United States. In 2024 BEED was held at six locations across the country in September and brought together over 350 community members. This year BEED will return at locations across the country on September 27th. The event is designed to foster a sense of community for people living with Becker and their families by providing opportunities to hear from experts in Becker care and research, and most importantly, to meet others affected by the neuromuscular disorder.
